Sunday Free Noodle 28

Sunday Free Noodle 28 is:

Piece By Piece - Trinovantes - Lizzi Wood - Vocals, Matt Stevens and Kevin Feazey - Guitars, Dan Wilson - Bass, Stuart Marshall - Drums

This is a song by a band i was in in the early to mid 2000's called Trinovantes. Lovely people and lots of fun. I'm not sure how this relates to what I do now to be honest. I'm not sure it does.

About The Sunday Free Noodle

The Sunday Free Noodle project is a free MP3 ever week - remixes, collaborations, live stuff, spoken word stuff and other odd things - for the next year. 52 MP3’s (thats alot). I think it will be a challenge to keep this going and I’m really looking forward to doing it - please subscribe to the podcast feed on itunes to get it free every week and tell me what you think(yes you can say if you think if its crap). I hope you enjoy it.

This project has only really come about because i have injured my back and have had a chance to go through my hard drives whilst lying on the floor with the laptop on my chest. Odd how things happen.

I really it want to be a collaborative process. Let me know - if you are a remixer, cellist, vocalist, percussionist, film maker, trumpet player or visual artist or anything else let me know(although I draw the line at juggling) . Perhaps i could send you some stuff(loops and noodles) to add something to?

Lets Make A Movie!!!

Hello Loyal Readers

OK so I've been thinking about the next project, the next "daft idea" - after "Big Calm" and "Twitter Chords" . I wonder what would happen if we tried something non musical?

Lets make a movie!

So the idea is we all grab a track off my album Ghost and make a short movie for it(I will be making one as well) here a wonderful example of a video made by a listener, the legendary 23rdjoker:

It would be amazing if we could make videos for all the songs on the album and maybe edit them into one big movie?

I am constantly blown away by the talent of the readers of this blog.

All the music on Ghost is creative commons licensed for non commercial use and I'd be happy to thank you personally on the new liner notes PDF that I'm going to add the bandcamp version of Ghost.

What do you think?

This is Sand Part 3, some of you may remember I posted Sand Part 2 and 4 a few weeks back. This is Part 3 of the same thing, I’m not sure I’ll ever finish the project to be honest, its one of my “big projects” all 7 parts of it. I may have to do something with it one day - what do you think?

What is the best guitar you have ever played and what is the guitar of your dreams? (They can be the same)

My favorite guitar is my broken Ibanez acoustic that I use and the only guitar I want because it sounds exactly how I want it to! I would quite like an Twin Neck Gibson like Mclaughlin used with the Mahavishnu Orchestra although since I did my back in its not really an option. I was looking at a headless Steinberger the other day, would be very cool for back pain friendly guitar playing. Would i look a prat playing it thou? (yes!)

Ask me anything
